Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, ensuring all entries are properly documented and reconciled.
- Accounts Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis to ensure data accuracy.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure the company complies with all federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements, assisting in external and internal audits.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the annual budgeting process and support month-end close procedures by preparing necessary schedules and variance analyses.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA certification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in data analysis.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Integrity: Demonstrated high level of professionalism, ethical standards, and confidentiality.
