Apex Financial Solutions is expanding our finance team and is looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join us immediately. This is a Direct Hire position located in the heart of Tampa, FL. Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Cost Accounting: Monitor budget variances and provide detailed analysis to management to support decision-making.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and maintain tax calendars.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables). Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) is highly desirable.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
