In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the accuracy of our financial reporting, ensuring strict compliance with GAAP standards, and supporting the monthly close process. You will serve as a key partner to management, providing insights that drive financial decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with high attention to detail.
- Assist with external audits and the implementation of internal control procedures.
- Prepare and file state and federal tax returns in coordination with external tax consultants.
- Process accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA certification or CPA eligibility is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
