Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all entries are reconciled and errors are resolved promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing strategic insights to management.
- Conduct internal audits and reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve accounting processes and system efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) and MS Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
