Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead financial reporting initiatives for executive stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Manage and optimize accounts payable/receivable workflows
- Conduct variance analysis and implement process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and strategic planning
- Ensure internal controls documentation and SOX compliance
- Mentor junior accounting staff and audit preparation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public or corporate sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and ERP systems
- Demonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Strong knowledge of tax compliance and audit procedures
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with multi-state and international accounting operations
