Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger (GL) accounting and month-end close procedures.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure accuracy of financial data by performing reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial reporting processes and implement internal controls.
- Prepare audit schedules and support external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely payments and collections.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks).
- Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
