Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risk.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and budget analysis.
- Streamline financial reporting processes to improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite).
- CPA certification or willingness to obtain it is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
