In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the accuracy of our financial statements and the integrity of our accounting systems. You will work closely with the CFO to drive financial strategies and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the General Ledger: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance to ensure accurate financial records.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and intercompany account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist in external audits and internal controls reviews, ensuring full compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.
- Process Improvement: Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior accountants and collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Integrity: High level of professionalism and adherence to ethical standards in financial reporting.
