About the Role:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing complex financial reports, and ensuring full compliance with local and federal regulations. You will play a crucial role in the month-end close process and provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff on best practices and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- CPA certification or equivalent advanced accounting designation is preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in corporate accounting or a related field.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
