Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all financial data.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Perform complex bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to optimize cash flow.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing comprehensive documentation and explanations.
- Monitor departmental budgets and provide variance analysis to executive management.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, internal controls, and auditing principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
