Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and payroll coordination
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and Texas state tax regulations
- Develop financial models for budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Lead internal audits and coordinate external CPA engagements
- Maintain robust financial controls and documentation systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in corporate or public accounting
- Expertise in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Proven track record of month-end close and financial reporting
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax compliance requirements
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
