Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records, ensuring all financial data is complete and error-free.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and variance analysis to ensure cash flow accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial audits and tax filings in compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Implement and improve internal controls and accounting procedures to mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support for business decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate status preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
