Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end monthly and annual financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal controls.
- Oversee general ledger reconciliations and resolve complex accounting discrepancies.
- Assist with annual audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance.
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns, including quarterly estimates.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management.
- Maintain and improve internal accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, federal and state tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
