Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly and annual financial close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, in compliance with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger accounting, reconcile accounts, and prepare journal entries.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and support external audit requirements.
- Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to the finance leadership team.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset schedules and inventory valuation records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial reporting and budgeting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
