Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile multi-entity accounting systems with zero tolerance for discrepancies
- Prepare month-end/year-end financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage AP/AR cycles, payroll processing, and sales tax compliance across diverse client portfolios
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks Online integrations for 15+ SMB clients
- Conduct internal audits and financial health assessments quarterly
- Collaborate with CPAs during tax season and financial audits
- Mentor junior bookkeepers using proprietary financial protocols
Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online certification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- Proven expertise in multi-state tax compliance and GAAP standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Experience with financial reporting software (e.g., Xero, FreshBooks)
- Exceptional attention to detail with documented error rates <0.5%
- Ability to manage 15+ clients simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills for client financial consultations
