Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
- Prepare complex financial reports, variance analyses, and operational budgets for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, local, and federal regulations, as well as internal control policies.
- Perform detailed reconciliation of general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist in external audit preparations and coordinate with external auditors.
- Develop and maintain internal financial models and forecasting tools to support strategic decision-making.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree (MBA) or CPA certification is a strong plus.
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
