Responsibilities

  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
  • Prepare complex financial reports, variance analyses, and operational budgets for senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, local, and federal regulations, as well as internal control policies.
  • Perform detailed reconciliation of general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Assist in external audit preparations and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Develop and maintain internal financial models and forecasting tools to support strategic decision-making.
  • Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree (MBA) or CPA certification is a strong plus.
  • 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
  • Strong proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
