Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L) for internal and external review.
- Manage general ledger accounts and perform bank reconciliations.
- Assist external auditors during annual audits and provide requested documentation.
- Support the budgeting process by analyzing variances and providing insights to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and GAAP standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
