Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform complex reconciliations of general ledger accounts, bank statements, and credit card transactions to ensure data integrity.
- Compliance & Audit: Maintain accurate records and assist with external and internal audits to ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Budget Management: Assist in the annual budgeting process and monitor departmental spending against established budgets.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current accounting workflows and implement solutions to enhance productivity.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the payroll and tax departments to ensure accurate processing of expenses and tax filings.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage; advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a proven track record of accuracy in financial data management.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated individual capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
