As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial integrity and supporting strategic decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close procedures with accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in the annual external audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budget preparation and forecasting initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume setting.
