Responsibilities
- Oversee the full cycle of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Perform complex bank reconciliations and variance analysis to ensure financial integrity.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- CPA certification is highly desirable but not strictly required for senior roles.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle accounting software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
