Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and receivable transactions with precision and integrity.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and local compliance reporting.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, GAAP, and federal/state financial regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and expense reviews to minimize financial risk and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, budgeting, and forecasting methodologies.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
