Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely processing and accurate recording.
- Oversee the general ledger, perform month-end and year-end close procedures, and prepare accurate financial statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with external auditors and internal management during audits and financial reviews.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with a preference for candidates based in or willing to work in Los Angeles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
- Certificate (CPA, CMA, or EA) is a strong plus but not strictly required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
