Your Role:
As the Senior Accountant, you will be the guardian of our financial health. You will oversee our general ledger, manage complex reconciliations, and provide critical insights to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Perform bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes efficiently and accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely filings with state and federal authorities.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and monitor financial performance against targets.
- Implement and improve internal controls to mitigate financial risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master’s in Accounting (MAcc) preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
