Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and optimize cash flow operations
- Lead financial analysis projects supporting strategic decision-making for executive leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX regulations, and internal controls frameworks
- Develop and maintain automated reporting systems using Excel and ERP platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in tech or startup environments
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel (VBA skills a plus)
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end close and financial reporting processes
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal control documentation
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
