Responsibilities
- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and the monthly/quarterly close process.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage the reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card statements, and intercompany accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and all relevant financial regulations.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns, as well as support external audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- CPA certification or active pursuit is a significant plus.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial regulations, and internal control environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
