Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are recorded correctly and timely.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing required documentation and working closely with external auditors.
- Prepare and file corporate tax returns, ensuring full compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Perform variance analysis to help management understand financial performance against the budget.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- CPA certification or active CPA candidate status is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders effectively.
