Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all reconciliations are completed accurately.
- Manage general ledger accounts and perform variance analysis on budgets versus actuals.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and intercompany transactions.
- Assist external auditors during the annual audit process and prepare supporting documentation.
- Support tax preparation activities and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices for financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree (CPA/MBA) preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and tax regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
