Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure the integrity of accounting data.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.
- Reconcile credit card statements and resolve any billing discrepancies or variances.
- Assist the CFO with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of professional accounting experience is preferred.
- CPA certification or CMA designation is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of tax laws, financial reporting, and general ledger functions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
