Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including GL entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing with precision
- Prepare financial statements and executive dashboards for stakeholder review
- Lead audit preparation and compliance with GAAP/SOX regulations
- Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel (VBA/macros)
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance and audits
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
