Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and regulatory adherence
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Conduct internal audits and implement financial controls to minimize risk
- Collaborate with tax department on quarterly filings and strategic tax planning
- Develop financial models and KPI dashboards for executive decision-making
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel
- Deep knowledge of Louisiana state tax regulations and GAAP standards
- Proven experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidated reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder presentations
