Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports for executive review
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and federal/state tax regulations
- Lead accounts reconciliation processes and resolve discrepancies in financial records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial audits and tax filings
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency
- Maintain internal controls and documentation for financial systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public or corporate accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, audits, and tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for presenting financial data to stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Virginia CPA license required
