Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and intercompany transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of annual income tax returns and local business filings.
- Conduct variance analysis and assist department heads with budget forecasting and planning.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable operations to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and internal controls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a strong plus but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit processes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
