Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income reports
- Manage complex general ledger operations and account reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Coordinate annual audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards
- Develop financial models for forecasting and budgeting initiatives
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and financial reporting standards
- Proven ability to manage month-end/close processes
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience with multi-state compliance a plus
