Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 50+ corporate and individual client accounts
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations for multi-state operations
- Lead internal audits and coordinate external CPA engagements
- Implement process improvements using advanced Excel and QuickBooks Online
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-departmental financial reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online, Excel (VLOOKUP/Pivot Tables), and accounting software
- Proven track record of managing multi-state tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in financial reporting
- Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and internal controls
- Excellent communication skills for client/stakeholder presentations
