Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end close procedures, and financial statement preparation
- Lead audit processes and ensure compliance with GAAP and California state regulations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to executive leadership
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and tax documentation
- Develop and implement internal controls to optimize financial workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in California-based organizations
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Proven experience with audit preparation and compliance documentation
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for presenting complex financial data
