Role Overview
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. You will be responsible for accurate reporting, process improvement, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of general ledger accounting and the monthly close process efficiently.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports for management review.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing requested documentation and schedules.
- Support the budget preparation process and conduct variance analysis.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and ensure depreciation schedules are up to date.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
