Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee general ledger accounting, ensuring all journal entries are recorded correctly and reconciliations are completed.
- Compliance & Audit: Assist in external audits and ensure all regulatory filings are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency within the finance department.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior accountants and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a significant plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a mid-sized to large corporation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
