Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and California state requirements
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and optimize cash flow management
- Conduct internal audits and ensure SOX compliance for California operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Maintain fixed asset ledgers and coordinate tax filings with California Franchise Tax Board
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in California
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Demonstrated expertise in California tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing financial teams and process improvement initiatives
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
