Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries, ledgers, and supporting documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and audits
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal controls
- Lead accounts payable/receivable processes and vendor management
- Implement process optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel with VBA skills
- Proven expertise in financial reporting, audit preparation, and tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication skills and experience presenting to executive leadership
- Track record of improving accounting processes and controls
