Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting
- Lead financial audits and compliance initiatives, maintaining adherence to GAAP standards
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and general ledger reconciliation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public or corporate sector
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Proven track record in financial reporting and compliance auditing
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder reporting
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and regulatory filings
