Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes with 99% accuracy targets
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for internal stakeholders and external auditors
- Implement and maintain GAAP-compliant accounting systems and controls
- Lead budgeting and forecasting initiatives with cross-departmental collaboration
- Conduct internal audits and process improvement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Proven track record in financial reporting and audit compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with remote team collaboration tools (Slack, Asana)
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
