We're urgently seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at Omaha Financial Solutions. Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with executive summaries
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure timely payment cycles
- Lead internal audits and collaborate with external auditors during annual reviews
- Implement and maintain robust accounting controls and compliance procedures
- Develop financial models and forecasts for departmental and organizational planning
- Mentor junior accounting staff and optimize financial workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/MBA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public/private sector exposure
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and tax regulations
- Proven track record in financial reporting and analysis for C-suite executives
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication abilities for cross-departmental collaboration
