Responsibilities
- Manage complex general ledger operations and ensure accurate monthly/quarterly financial reporting
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with rigorous reconciliation procedures
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to guarantee compliance with SOX and GAAP standards
- Prepare detailed financial statements, budgets, and variance analysis for executive review
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and optimize cash flow management
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities during compliance reviews
- Mentor junior accounting staff and implement process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA or equivalent certification required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public/private sector exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel (Power Pivot/VBA)
- Deep expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and multi-state tax regulations
- Proven track record in financial statement preparation and audit coordination
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present to non-finance stakeholders
