Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements and month-end close processes
- Manage multi-entity accounting systems ensuring GAAP compliance
- Conduct detailed reconciliations for bank accounts, investments, and intercompany transactions
- Lead audit coordination with external firms and resolve technical accounting issues
- Develop financial models for forecasting and variance analysis
- Mentor junior staff and implement process improvements
- Collaborate with tax department for quarterly estimates and year-end filings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP and SOX compliance requirements
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with energy sector accounting a significant plus
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interactions
