Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and maintain general ledger integrity
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for internal stakeholders and regulatory compliance
- Lead budget forecasting and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Implement and optimize internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial planning and audits
- Mentor junior accountants and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (Sage 100 a plus)
- Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and month-end processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
- Experience with ERP systems and tax compliance preparation
