Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes with strict deadline adherence
- Prepare and analyze financial reports for executive leadership and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal controls requirements
- Collaborate with auditors during external examinations
- Develop process improvements to enhance financial efficiency
- Maintain accurate fixed asset ledgers and depreciation schedules
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Expertise in financial reporting systems (NetSuite/Oracle experience a plus)
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and complex formulas
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance
