Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy
- Lead accounts payable/receivable functions and optimize cash flow management
- Coordinate internal and external audits while maintaining documentation standards
- Implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and controls
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives with variance analysis
- Maintain compliance with federal/state tax regulations and filing requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA certification required
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience with public/private sector blend
- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and advanced Excel modeling
- Proven ability to manage month-end/quarter-end close processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and regulatory reporting
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
- QuickBooks proficiency preferred
