Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring the accurate recording and reconciliation of all financial transactions.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including variance analysis and reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns, coordinating with external auditors.
- Reconcile complex bank accounts, credit card statements, and inter-company accounts.
- Develop and maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and forecasting support to management to drive business performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or CMA certification is highly desired.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of internal controls, GAAP, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
