Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accurate processing of accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and perform variance analysis to support executive decision-making.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and prepare necessary tax filings.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Lead internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and ERP systems.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a strong plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
