Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end closings, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare and submit accurate tax documents and regulatory compliance reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Maintain internal controls and ensure adherence to GAAP and industry standards
- Lead process optimization projects to enhance accounting efficiency
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide training on new systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public and private sector exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (VBA skills a plus)
- Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax regulations and audit processes
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations
